Out and About in Key West

Breakfast at Kermit’s on their outdoor deck, alongside a Koi pond shaded by trees and graced by orchids.  A peaceful way to start the day.

After breakfast, we toured the “Little White House” – a beautiful but surprisingly simple home built in 1890 to house the base commander and paymaster of the U.S. Navy.  Since Truman’s presidency, it has been a retreat and functioning White House for six U.S. presidents.

St. Paul’s Episcopal Church.  The parish was formed in 1832,
however the first church was not built until 1838.  The sanctuary
shown here is the parish’s fourth, the three previous having been
destroyed by a hurricane (first), the Great Fire of 1886 (second), and a hurricane (third).

An early evening stop at the Key West First Legal Rum Distillery.
