Hemingway Home and Museum – February 24

The Hemingway Home of Ernest and Pauline, formerly The Asa Tift House, built in 1851.
Pictures of Hemingway’s wives –  Hadley, Pauline, Martha, and Mary.
Hemingway’s nurse, Agnes von Kurowsky, who broke his heart and was the inspiration for the heroine
in “A Farewell to Arms.”

Part of the outdoor landscape which can be reserved for weddings (our tour guide pointed out the irony here.)

Hemingway’s study.
The $20,000 swimming pool, installed at Pauline’s request during the Depression era.

There are between 40 and 50 Polydactyl cats on the property – many are descendents of Snowball, the mother of Hemingway’s first six-toed cat.
