A Quick Visit to Cambridge (6/24-25)

This is a replica of the original Choptank River Lighthouse.
Our dock for the night was a short walk from this lighthouse/museum.  Cambridge has some beautiful historic homes,
great restaurants, and much history.  While we were glad to have spent a short time there, we would not return by boat – we feel the city has some work to do in maintaining the municipal marina.

Harriet Tubman was born into slavery in
Dorchester County (where Cambridge is located).  In 1849 she escaped, then risked her life to help others to freedom through the Underground Railroad.
Unfortunately, the
museum is closed
on Monday.
