It was difficult to get a good picture of the front of this beautiful church; the interior, however, far surpasses the exterior in beauty, though I will say the church’s steeple is quite magnificent towering behind our spot in the mooring field off of the city of Annapolis. This 7,000 sq. ft. church was built between 1858 and 1860 on the family property of Charles Carroll of Carrollton, the only Catholic to sign the Declaration of Independence and a champion of religious freedom. |
