We crossed the SC/NC border around noon today.

After clearing all the bridges, the only hazards were reckless jet-skiers and oblivious kayakers in the channel.

We arrived at St. James Plantation around 3 pm, and have mapped out our plans for the coming days. The forecast is calling for wind gusts in the high 20’s, lots of current in the Cape Fear River, and thunderstorms later in the week. For now, we’re enjoying the peace and quiet of this harbor.
