Doe River, Roan Mountain and the A.T.

These pictures are from Tuesday, 4/12, when we took advantage of the drier weather in between the rain. We walked along the Doe River, then drove up to Carver’s Gap where you can access the Appalachian Trail.

The rhododendrons will be in full bloom in June. They are everywhere – it must be a spectacular sight.
