Parkers Creek at Jordan Lake – 4/8, 4/19; Home 4/20

Doug was able to reserve the same campsite at Jordan Lake that we had back in October. It’s perfect because we can see the lake, and it’s uphill (no rain accumulating).

Driving from Swannanoa to Jordan Lake, we ran into a traffic delay due to a car fire. It was incredible to see how quickly the fire was extinguished. By the time we approached the scene, we were waved ahead. (The driver of the car was safely removed from the vehicle, thank goodness.)

On to Jordan Lake, our last stop. The weather was chilly, with nighttime lows in the mid-30’s.

Our truck is blocking the view of the lake.
We woke up to a very wet floor on Tuesday morning, caused by a problem with the pressure regulator on the water intake.
(I needed to clean the floor, anyway. 🙂

Greg (Doug’s cousin) and Kathy came to visit us on Tuesday afternoon, bringing a delicious cake which we enjoyed while catching up after being apart for quite a while.

Wednesday morning walk before heading home. We made notes of campsites we’d choose on future visits.
Lots of laundry waiting for me on that beautiful new floor that was installed while we were away. 🙂
My Lilac bloomed!
(Yes, this was taken at night – time for sleep!)
