Vermont – Dorset & Manchester (Part 2)

We took in a little bit of Manchester’s history with a visit to Ye Olde Tavern.

The food and service were excellent, and the small rooms, uneven floors, furnishings, and fireplace made for a “trip back in time.”
On Saturday, we took a short walk on a portion of the Appalachian Trail.
The White Blaze let us know we were on the AT.
The AT and Long Trail share the path
One of two bridges we encountered
Not long after safely traversing Bridge #2, the trail became too muddy for us novice hikers, so we headed back to the parking lot.
This stop was lots of fun!  Inside were fresh baked goods, fresh picked vegetables and fruit, preserves, wine, cheese, plants, and gifts.
