Ft. Lauderdale

Made it through 16 bridges and docked overnight at the Hall of Fame Marina, next to which is the International Swimming Hall of Fame Museum and the City of Ft. Lauderdale Aquatics Center.

This is the main pool in the Ft. Lauderdale Aquatic Complex.
In August 2002, Michael Phelps and Natalie Coughlin broke the world record in
their respective events.

An early birthday dinner for Marty at “Burlock Coast” restaurant. We walked for
several blocks on the oceanside walkway before finding the perfect spot . . .

. . . when we exited via the street side, we discovered we had been
in the Ritz Carlton. It truly was an outstanding dinner!

Snowmen and Surfboards

Birthday breakfast on the 19th at St. Bart’s Cafe; a late
lunch at the Casablanca Cafe (Jova House).
Built in 1927, it was the
first home constructed on Ft. Lauderdale Beach
and is the oldest remaining structure.
