Key West – March 8

We finally tracked down Marjory Lee at “Viva Saloon” Argentinian Steakhouse. This establishment, built in the early 1900’s, has quite a history: once a brothel, then a hotel, then a striptease club, and now a casual pub and restaurant with a large outdoor patio, where we sat and enjoyed excellent food and Marjory’s beautiful voice and guitar talent. From South Carolina to Nashville to Key West and internationally, her career had its early beginning with the gift of a guitar from Earl Klugh; she has a music degree from Belmont University in Nashville, is a BMI writer, and the list goes on. Two weeks ago, we heard her play all of two songs as we passed by the Galleon tiki bar, and I asked someone who seemed to know her, “WHO is she?” He told us her name, saying “She’s *very* talented!” So glad we could hear her again!
