Marathon – May 1

Always have a “Plan B” on a boat. The wind did not die down last night as predicted, so we’ll stay here in Marathon until the winds become more southerly on Sunday or Monday.   We try to heed the advice from a couple we know who are Coast Guard retirees:  The next port will still be there tomorrow.

Today is a beautiful day, regardless, being daughter Christine’s birthday.  And look at the lovely surprise I found in our cockpit this morning!

Yes, it is!

We will update daily until we get home, so our whereabouts will not be a mystery. Thanks to all who are following our travels.

    1. Thanks, Laurie! ☺ We’ve heard some wild outcomes from people down here who left when they should have stayed put – so, we wait. Happy May Day!

  1. We hope the weather allows you to start out the beginning of the week. It has been very windy here the last couple of days. We will be following your progress. Good sailing.
