The anchor was up at 6:55 a.m., after an easier-than-anticipated evening – the wind died, and by 1 a.m. all boats were aligned in the same direction. We had a long but easy day (minus waiting for bridges to lift) to Vero Beach, arriving at 5:28 p.m. 70 miles, according to the captain. Here in the harbor, it’s like none of us ever left – we are anchored next to Brynli (as opposed to being rafted together), and friends (Bob and Diane, Jane and Dave) as well as fellow cruisers from New Bern (Gertie, Ohana) are here on a mooring ball.

Oh, yes – the Mayflies (aka Love Bugs) are out in droves. Did you know that … OK, TMI. They are obnoxious and annoying. We’ll only be here two nights, then we’ll head to Cocoa.
Hey, is that your new boat in the first photo? Nice choice!
Glad you had good traveling today and are feeling “at home” again.

Oh, the crew was working away as we passed by – what a demanding job that would be! We are looking forward to a day off from the rush to get home – weather is forcing us to stay put for a day. ♥️
