Our destination after Fredericksburg was the Jonestown/Hershey KOA, and we wanted to avoid I-95 at all costs. Our various routes took us from Virginia to West Virginia, then Maryland, then Pennsylvania. Our campsite in Hershey was right on Swatara Creek – very pretty!

Tuesday morning we were up early in order to arrive at the New York City North/Newburgh KOA (which is actually in Plattekill, NY) mid- afternoon ahead of the forecasted storms (which ended up going around us). Another nice campsite, very woodsy, quiet and private – hard to believe there’s two pools, mini golf, a climbing wall, basketball and volleyball courts, a snack shop, AND a wine store nearby at this KOA! 🙂
