Hiking Acadia & Beach Sunset – 8/19

I bought a hiking trail guidebook, which described the highly popular trail to Bubble Rock as “moderately easy.” This is IF you access the trail from The Bubbles parking area. The bus is not allowed to stop there, so we were dropped off at the Jordan Pond House, where we could access another trail 2/3 of the way down the eastern side of the pond. Pictures from our 4.5 mile day are below.

This was the easy part of this trail
This was our view when we decided to turn around.
Back to the water’s edge. The water is SO clear!
We decided to try this trail.
So far, so good.
We’re not doing this one, either!
We did pause to notice the leaves are just starting to turn. The locals call autumn, “Leaf Peeper Season.”
Making our way to the western side of Jordan Pond.
The end of our hiking for the day.
We had a late lunch at The Chart Room …
and ended the day at the beach on Eastern Bay, just minutes from our campsite.
