Last Day in Camden – 8/24

The day was very foggy with a bit of drizzle, so we stayed at the campsite until the weather cleared in the afternoon. With a few things on our shopping list, we stopped in several stores after spending time at the waterfront in downtown Camden. I wanted to get to Sherman’s Book Shop in Rockland – it’s Maine’s oldest bookstore (since 1886), and it was worth the drive, especially when greeted by their sign near the entrance which proclaims “We sell banned books!” 🙂 Our last stop was at the Canopy Garden Shop in Rockport – at least 4x the size of Pinecone in New Bern and even nicer.

In the upper right of this picture, you can just barely see the tower at Mount Battie, where we were the other day.
We ended the day with something we’ve been saving for awhile.

    1. Ummm, not us (at least not me) – not anymore – we *know* how much maintenance that requires. 😄 Thanks for following us.
