Destination Newfoundland

After talking about/planning this trip with our friends, Sharon and Dick, since September 2022, we are finally on our way. It seemed like roadblocks kept popping up to prevent our departure, among them a serious automobile accident in December 2022 and, more recently, a portion of the floor collapsing in our (now former) camper. We’re not easily discouraged, however, and we’re off to a good start in our new Winnebago, ready for iceberg sightings, and (possibly) snow.

First overnight stop: Fredericksburg, VA (5/6/23)
We stopped here as we traveled north on US 15. I could have spent a couple of hours and lots of money here – from gourmet lunches to top-shelf wine to kitchen pantry accessories, it’s fabulous.
Our second overnight stop (5/7): the Jonestown/Hershey KOA, with our campsite right on Swatara Creek
(we were one site down from here last August enroute to Maine).
Now we’re in New York, and the weather is noticeably cooler. I didn’t think I’d need my fleece pullovers for at least another week, but I was wrong.
We had lunch at this excellent pizzeria.
Tomorrow (5/10) we’ll be in Vermont.

    1. Yes, a great trip so far, though a chilly, damp, gray, misty day for our ferry trip. Thanks for following our travels!
