Vermont & Maine – 5/10-5/13/23

It has been a speedy trip up to Maine, so there are just a few pictures to post. We’ll be in Canada on Sunday.

In Brattleboro, VT, with Sharon and Dick at Whetstone Brewery on the Connecticut River.
Sunset at our campground in Freeport, ME
We shared a special bottle of wine last night, since we are limited in what we can take across the Canadian border. This wine came from Kermit Lynch importers in Berkeley, CA, and Giulia Negri’s estate was featured in an episode of Stanley Tucci’s
“Searching for Italy.”
We did some shopping on Friday, which included hiking shoes for Doug, and a nifty rocking camp chair for Marty.
On the 13th, we stayed in Bucksport, ME, and had dinner at Barncastle in Blue Hill. Built in the early 1800’s, Barncastle is on the National Registry of Historic Places.

    1. Hi Linda, and thanks for following our travels. Doug said Bryan had his boat up here years ago – incredible! It’s been challenging enough getting here by camper! 🙂 love and miss you, too.
