A brief stop at Customs on Sunday morning, and we were on our way to our first stop in Canada at Sussex, New BrunswickAfter getting settled at our campsite, we drove to Fundy National Park We stopped here to get information on the park, and then we drove over to the trailhead for Point Wolfe Beach. The Bay of Fundy is one of the seven natural wonders of North America, with the highest tides in the world and a tidal range of 38 feet.We drove through this covered bridge to get to the trailhead. This is the view from the window in the covered bridges – there was once a lumber mill here, just up from the beach where we wereAlma was just a short walk from the bridge, so Doug grabbed some great pictures before it was time to drive back to the campground These boats are resting on wooden crates to keep them upright when the tide is lowWe’ll have to come back on our return trip from Newfoundland to experience a tidal bore – a rolling wave that moves upstream ahead of the incoming tide. Tomorrow, we head to Nova Scotia.
Looks beautiful!!! You two amaze us!
