Western Brook Pond, Gros Morne National Park

We took a boat trip through the fjord, on a day that became sunny as soon as we started the 1.5-mile walk from the parking lot to the dock. As we’ve learned, though, sunny does not necessarily mean warm, especially when it’s windy.

The water was choppy, and that translated into a wet ride for some of us (myself included). ๐Ÿ™‚
So many people signed up for the tour, that a second boat was needed.
You can see from these two pictures that it was very cold.
Despite being splashed in the face several times (that’s what I get for choosing the front seat), we’re both still smiling. ๐Ÿ™‚
The old man of the mountain can be seen on the left.
So many people signed up for the tour, that they had to add a second boat. It was a spectacular 2.5-hour trip.

    1. Thanks, Carol! We’ll be in Nova Scotia tonight, where we hope to pack up some of these winter clothes! ๐Ÿ™‚ xo
