New Brunswick – 7/2, 7/3

Just two overnight stops in New Brunswick: Coy Lake Campground in Gagetown, and Camping Edmonston Campground, with the former being on a lake and the latter on a river. Water is a big attraction, even though we’re not boating! πŸ™‚

This is Coy Lake. We were reluctant to trample these beautiful ferns to get to the water’s edge. The path that led to this point was quite muddy because of all the rain in the past week – good thing we wore our old shoes!
Our campsite in Edmonston, on the Iroquois River, which provided a lovely rippling-rushing sound. Walking about five steps from our chairs, we had the view pictured below.
As you can see from the above, French is the primary language here.
We are *almost* within walking distance of the U.S. here in Edmonston. The Saint John river is right on the border. We will drive to Quebec on July 4 and stay for four nights.

  1. Beautiful, serine camp sites to enjoy the best nature has to offer. Enjoy your 4th even if there probably won’t be any fireworks!

    1. Dear Linda, Happy 4th to you and Bryan. Hope your pooches have a calm evening – our two granddogs are (1) heavily medicated, and
      (2) hiding under the laundry room sink. Looking forward to seeing you soon. XO
