Estes Park (day #1 – 6/4)

We opted against the interstate(s) for a lot of the drive from Goodland to Estes Park.   The scenic route seems to show more about how people live in their hometowns and surroundings.  For this drive, however, we mostly saw cows.  🙂

We saw miles and miles of this.
Finally, the mountains came into view after driving through The Mile-High City.

Here’s the view from the west side of our campsite (until we have a neighbor – they really squeeze folks together here).

Tomorrow morning, we will be in line early for our 9 am reservation to drive into Rocky Mountain National Park.
