After brief stays in Pennsylvania and the Finger Lakes, we arrived at Limekiln Lake just as a light rain began, though it was over by the time we got to our campsite (there are over 200 in this park).

Tomorrow’s forecast is for rain late in the morning. Our plan is to take both kayaks out before the weather changes.
We were just wondering about you guys a few minutes ago! Good timing 🤣 Beautiful area, I haven’t been there in many years. The folks were camped there and I went down from Plattsburgh to visit. Makes me miss the Adirondacks something awful. The lake looks so clear! Love the inflatable kayaks.

Quick reply – we’re in Lake Placid now going for a late lunch. Limekiln was beautiful, but I am a bug magnet regardless of the cool weather. 🙂 Big rain last night and wind today, though it’s sunny. 🌞 Thanks for following us – we were without signal at Limekiln 99% of the time.

Yes, but it’s brand-new right on the river. Many sites aren’t finished, and the wood in the buildings still smells brand-new. The older campground is up the road and across the street.
