Rodriguez Key to Key Biscayne – 5/4

The anchor came up at 7:15 a.m., and we had a beautiful motorsail up to Key Biscayne.

Haven’t raised this sail in 7 weeks.

Beautiful morning
Stay-at-home orders have benefited the ocean, we suspect. This is our fourth cruise through these waters, and we’ve never seen such vibrant colors, nor have we ever before been able to see the bottom – sand, plant life, etc.

Coming up the channel through “Stiltsville”
OK, after getting diesel at Crandon Park Marina, I think we were relieved to have the tank full, having accomplished the task with face coverings all around – attendants on shore as well as ourselves. All washed and hand-sanitized afterwards, we needed to anchor for the night. “Indecision may or may not be my problem” said Jimmy Buffett. You can see from the dotted black-and-white lines, it took awhile before we found the right spot and got the anchor set. 😊
The Sun’s down.

    1. We’re out of the turquoise and cobalt water now; going to try to get to Vero late this afternoon – if not there, then Ft. Pierce. Weather’s on the way. ā™„ļø
